Experience

Patsy Ruegg has over 30 years of experience in Histopathology, with 25 years employment at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center Pathology Department as a Professional Research Assistant in a Hematopathology and Metabolic Bone Disease Laboratory studying bone and cartilage development and IHC techniques.

IHCtech began in 2002 in a small start up lab on the Fitzsimmons campus with the UCHSC with one employee (Patsy Ruegg) and has grown to employing 3 full time technicians, one or two part time lab assistants, one part time equipment maintenance engineer, and a part time bookkeeper/accountant, plus one intern this summer. We service research investigators all over the USA and a few internationally (Ireland, Singapore and Belgium so far).

Our technicians are ASCP board certified and trained in the latest instrumentation and technique. We pride ourselves in the custom services we offer. Every project we get is new and unique to us, and does not get pigeon holed or mainstreamed with everything else we do. Most Histopathology Services businesses offer only the services that fit into their routine operations, IHCtech will go the extra mile to help to develop techniques and services not routine.
